Research Progress in Mechanical Alloying of Nano-Synthesizing of Ti and Zr

Nanocrystalline materials can be facilely and efficiently yielded with the technique of mechanical alloying.As a solid solution alloy,nanocrystalline Ti-Zr binary alloy has the mean grain size of 6~7 nm,and the stability of its face-centered cubic(fcc) lattice is superior to that of hexagonal close-packed(hcp) lattice of elemental Ti or Zr.Main research findings on mechanical alloying of nanocrystalline of Ti and Zr are reviewed,and the future research fields are pointed out.
