The Effects of Replacing Antibiotics Feed Additive with Lactulose on Production Performance and Slaughter Characteristics of the AA Broilers

【Objective】The experiment was conducted to study the effects of replacing antibiotics feed additive with lactulose on performance,slaughter performance of the AA broilers.【Method】One hundred and eighty one-day-old AA broilers were randomized into five groups with 3 replicates per group and 12 chickens per replicate.Negative control group was fed with basal diet;antibiotics group was fed with diet supplemented with 0.30 g/kg Nosiheptide and 0.25 g/kg Colistin sulfate premix;the treatment groups were fed with diet supplemented with 0.5%,1.0% and 1.5% of lactulose,respectively.The production performance and carcass quality were determined.【Result】The live body weight of broilers were 2 164.22,2 057.58,2 101.43,2 208.86 and 2 172.00 g,respectively,and there was no significant difference(P 0.05).The feed conversion ratio in each group were 2.15,1.90,1.95,1.96 and 2.02,compared with the negative control group,the feed conversion ratios by birds fed antibiotics diets were lower than those by a margin of 13.16%(P0.05),but the others there showed no significant difference(P0.05).The live body weight,daily weight gain and daily feed intake of broilers fed with lactulose were improved,but there were no significant difference(P0.05).The survival rate increased significantly by diets supplementation with antibiotics,1.0% and 1.5% lactulose.The carcass quality was improved,and percentage of abdominal fat by birds fed 0.5% and 1.0% lactulose diets were reduced by 3.48%(P0.05) and 17.24%(P0.05).【Conclusion】Replacing antibiotics feed additive with different levels of lactulose had the trend of improving production performance and carcass quality.Evaluation of production performance and carcass quality of the broilers,replacing antibiotics feed additive with 1.0% of lactulose was relatively better.
