Preliminary Analysis of Genetic Diversity of Introduced Soybean Germplasm in Xinjiang Ecological Region

【Objective】The purpose of this project was to promote the effective use of introduced soybean germphlasm in Xinjiang and provide basis for choosing parents when creating a new cross combination.【Method】Eight primary agronomic characters and two kernel traits were used to evaluate genetic diversity of 149 soybean germplasm from different countries.【Result】The results showed that 149 soybean germplasm from 11 nations and areas such as Japan and America et al.,had high variation coefficient of 8 characters ranged from 12.48%to 67.13%,and the largest variation coefficient was found in Pods per plant,Seeds per plant and Seed weight per plant exceed 60%;the smallest coefficient of variation to maturity was 12.48%. The results also showed that the 149 varieties could be divided into 2 groups,5 sub - groups according to 8 agronomic traits and 2 seed traits.The results of clustering showed some rules in the geographical distribution.【Conclusion】The 149 varieties increased genetic diversity of Xinjiang soybean germplasm,and were utilized in broadening genetic basis of Xinjiang soybean cultivars.
