In order to know the resistance to coldness of dormant shoots from Prunus divaricata Xinjiang wild cherry plum,it has been determined by means of electrical conductivity combined with the changes of MDA content.Five temperature gradient treatment from-20 ℃ to-40 ℃ were designed, which were used as controls, compared with the temperation in outside. The results indicated: the majority of Prunus americana can be resistant to the low-temperature below(-25 ℃) and few of them can be resistant to the low-temperature below-30 ℃.The order of the resistance to coldness of these plum specieses are: Beifang1Suili3Niuxin plumPrunus divaricata respectively;Among Prunus divaricata, living condition is different and genotype is different, resistance to coldness is different too.
