Dust Retaining Capability of Six Fruit Tree Leaves in Southern Xinjiang,China

The dust retaining capability and leaf surface morphological structure for six fruit tree leaves in southern Xinjiang,China were analyzed in this paper.The results showed that the order from strong to weak in dust retaining capabilty in tested fruit tree leaves are Cydonia oblongaPunica granatumFicus caricaArmeniaca vulgarisZizyphus jujubeMalus pumila;the results of the relation between leaf dust retaining capability and the leaf surface morphological structure showed that there were the dense and deep furrows on leaf surface with the strong leaf dust retaining capabilty;otherwise,the verrucous enation in leaf surface had the strong dust retaining capabilty.There were no relations between leaf dust retaining capability and leaf below structure with hair or without hair.
