Design of a Waste Material Separating System Based on Machine Vision

LIN Ziqi, QUAN Yanming, QUAN Sibo, WANG Zhongren(College of Mechanical Engineering, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou 510641, China)  
A waste material separating system for general block material based on machine vision was developed. The images of material were processed by the supervisor computer system, and then the results were transmitted to the single chip system. In the memory of the single chip, we establish a buffer to store the data. And the single chip reads and analyses the data, measures the speed of conveyer, and figures out the position of material. And then send the command signals to the executive mechanism when the material is on the supposed place.
