Study and Realization of New Static Var Compensator Reactive Power Compensation Device

In order to find the high performance SVC reactive power compensation device,in view of the advantages of SVC (TSC+TCR) which can not only accurately control reactive cur- rent in detail,but also withdraw all compensation capacitors as the system be more serious resonant,the principle of single-phase TCR and the harmonics as well as suppression measures of three-phase triangle linking TCR are analyzed in this paper.In order to raise the flexibility as serious disturbance happened,and reduce the wear and tear in steady-state operation of compensa- tion,the type of TSC+TCR compensation is developed.Then the experimental realization and results waveform of the SVC are given.This type of TSC+TCR compensation can not only com- pensate the unbalance of three-phase systems and adjust reactive power smoothly,but also protect the compensator as overload appeared.This paper dues certain significance to the actual design and application of the reactive power compensation.
