A Research on the Ego Identity Status of 720 Middle School Students

Yu Ruikang (Wuxi Superior Normal School,Wuxi, 214001)  
The demonstration reseach on middle school students' ego-identity shows that the development of their ego-identity is a rubbing and tallying process from indistinct ideal through puzzling doubt to practical exaltation. The grade distribution of their identity status is like this: a large portion in the middle and a small portion at both ends. Their identity status has gender difference and interacts with their self-estimation of learning results. Therefore, the teaching and training of middle school students' ego-identity should be emphasized and enhanced.
