A Longitudinal Research on the Citizens' Subjective Well-being in a Coastal Province

Xing Zhanjun(Institute of Sociology,Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,Beijing,100732)  
Sampling from a coastal province,we examined the citizens' subjective well-being through longitudinal research.It was testified that subjective well-being scale for Chinese citizen(SWBS-CC) had ideal psychometric characteristics.We also drew some important conclusion from the longitudinal research:(1) Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome(SARS) had influenced citizens' subjective quality-of-life negatively and evidently;(2) the citizens' experience of mental healthy had improved after experienced SARS;(3) objective material condition was still the most important influential factor on citizens' subjective quality-of-life.
