A Study on the Professional Commitment and Learning Burnout of Undergraduates and Their Relationship

To have a better understanding of the positive and negative learning psychology of current undergraduates,scales were used to study the professional commitment and learning burnout of 672 undergraduates of different sexes,grades,majors and universities.The research shows that undergraduates' specialty commitment level is not high,while their learning burnout level is comparatively high.In terms of gender difference,male students are higher than females at the level of affective commitment and ideal commitment,while female students are lower than males at the level of achievement sense.In terms of grades,freshmen and seniors are higher than sophomores and juniors at the level of affective commitment;sophomores and juniors are higher than freshmen at the level of reduced personal accomplishment,behavior inadequacy and the general burnout;seniors are higher than freshmen,sophomores and juniors in the level of achievement sense.In terms of majors,the specialty commitment level of students of liberal arts and science is lower than those of medicine,engineering and skills;the general burnout level of students of liberal arts and science is higher than those of medicine and engineering.As far as the types of university are concerned,the specialty commitment level of teachers' university students is the lowest,while their burnout level is the highest.The affective commitment level is the most effective forecasting factor in measuring the burnout level of undergraduates.
