Children's Negative Priming in Global-local Figure Processing

In the present study,two groups 7-and 11-year-old subjects were asked to selectively attend to compound number's global or local level and judge whether it is larger or smaller than 5.The elements of compound numbers may be dense or sparse.The reaction time results showed that the sparsity of elements affected the perceptual precedence.But the between-level negative priming was not directly related to the perceptual precedence,which might develop later than perceptual precedence.
