This study was to explore the character of canine chest wall tumor and to diagnose and differentiate the case. Detection and analysis of the tumor were performed by blood routine,DR,pathologic examination and histopathology. The blood routine test showed that the total number of white cells and neutrophils in the canine were higher than normal. The DR chest radiography displayed an elliptical tumor on the right side of the canine chest wall near the armpit, with an obvious boundary with the surrounding tissue. Ocular observation told that the size of the tumor was 7. 5 cm x 6 cm x 4. 5 cm,the membrane was broken, the surface of the tumor was fish white, and the texture was hard.Under the microscope, the abnormity of the tumor cells was rather obvious mainly caused by the spindle cells and hyperplasia, and the fibrous mother cells in round to oval shapes were inter-mingled,the pathological nucleus was obvious, and there was a considerable amount of inflammatory cell infiltration. In conclusion, the tumor was diagnosed as inflammatory fibrous sarcoma by pathological diagnosis combined with clinical examination, which provides reference for diagnosis of fibrous sarcoma in veterinary clinics.
