The Optimum Concentration of BTH Treatment for Different Varieties of Post-harvest Mango Fruit against Anthracnose

Two varieties of mango("Nang klangwan" and "Tainong") were treated with BTH(benzothiadiazole) at 0,50,100,200 and 300 mg/L.After 72 h,and inoculated with Colletotichum gloeosporioides thereafter,and then stored at 15 ℃ and RH 75%-85%.Disease incidence of the fruit and changes in lesion area,color and luster and hardness were determined.The result showed that BTH treatments with concentrations within the range of 50-300 mg/L had inhibitive effect on anthracnose.The optimum concentration was 200 mg/L for "Nang klangwan" and 50 mg/L for "Tainong".The disease incidence of C.gloeosporioides,the changing degree of color and intenerating of fruit were significantly decreased,and the expansion offruit lesion area was markedly delayed.
