ZHU Lin-hai,HE Bing-huiSchool of Resources and Environment,Southwest University,Chongqing 400716,China
Effects of medium, kind and concentration of growth regulators, cutting length and apical bud on cutting rooting percentage of greenwood cuttings of Pinus massoniana were studied.Kinds and concentrations of growth regulators and their interaction were shown to have highly significant effects on the rooting of the cuttings.Rooting percentage of cuttings dipped in IBA and GGR was significantly higher than that of cuttings dipped in NAA and IBA+NAA.Rooting percentage of cuttings with different lengths differed highly significantly and the interaction of cutting length with medium was non-significant statistically.Cuttings 5-10 cm long had the highest rooting percentage regardless of medium.Rooting percentages of cuttings in different media were significantly different.Rooting percentage of cuttings with the apical bud was highly significantly higher than that of cuttings without the apical bud.
