Assessment of the Social Functions of Cultivated Land Based on the Gray Fuzzy Evaluation Method——Take Chongqing as an Example

The social functions of cultivated land involve mainly food security,job creation and social security,and are connotationally characterized by derivativeness,diversity and function-dominance.Based on the above,an evaluation index system for the social functions of cultivated land was established,and a grey fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model was adopted to estimate the changes in the social functions of cultivated land in Chongqing in the 2001-2011 period.The results showed that in the study period,the social functions of cultivated land in Chongqing exhibited,in general,a rising trend in fluctuation.The three components of social functions of cultivated land were different in importance.Food security ranked first,followed in sequence by social security and job-creation.In recent years,the importance of social security function has become increasingly prominent.Food security function is unstable,because it is affected by weather and other natural conditions;and job-creation function has seen a gradual recovery after a reasonable recession phase,because it is affected by national policy of agriculture and employment.
