COMPARATIVE EXPERIMENTS OF FORMATION DAMAGE OF HORIZONTAL WELLS IN PORE AND FRACTURED RESERVOIRS

Compared with vertical wells,formation damage in horizontal wells seems to be more unique.The experimental research on formation damage caused by drilling and completion fluids of horizontal wells in porosity reservoirs is conducted.This paper is based on fractured tight sandstone reservoir in western Sichuan,and four groups(12 cores) evaluation experiment is carried on by the Multi-Function Composition Damage Assessment Instrument(MFCI).The experiment measures the parameters of filter cake properties and flow back with considering fractured cores and block cores with different permeability levels in three directions of top-bottom-side in each group.The results suggest that the cumulative filter,filtration rate and invasion depth are bigger in the bottom direction than that of side and top,while the recovery rate has an opposite characters.To the block cores and fractured cores,the recovery rate has a tendency of increasing firstly and then decreasing slowly,and the values are impacted by the matching relationship between solid particle size distribution in well drilling and completion fluids and rock pore or fracture size.Compared with block samples,the anisotropic damage in fractured samples is more serious.
