Analysis of the genetic relationship of quantitative characters in tumorous stem mustard(Brassica juncea var.tumida Tsen et Lee)

Parameters for correlated inheritance of 15 quantitative characters in tumorous stem mustard were studied with 23 varieties by means of genetic design of one factor.Heritabilities in broad,practical senses of each characters and the correlated heritability between the characters were analyzed and compared.The relative efficiency of indirect selection on tumorous stem yield through other characters was also estimated.In addition,analysis for principal components and calculation for genetic correlation information(GCI)and genetic correlation contribution(GCC)were also performed,too.It is revealed that the four main quantitative characters,i.e.s developmental duration,vegetative duration,horizontal length and ratio of stem and leaf,are the most important ones in compositicn and for the selection of tumorous stem yield.
