Analytic Hierarchy Process to Evaluate Forestry Production Capacity of Nanting River Basin

The Nanting river is the biggest river of Lingcang City,Yunnan Province flowing across the southeastern China. Forestry production of Nanting river basin within China not only plays an important role in local development but also influences the lower reaches farmers' production and living in Myanmar. The model was built with analytic hierarchy process( AHP) synthetic index method from 3 different aspects that were forestry production index,economic indicators and eco-environment indicators. The Forestry production capacity of Nanting river basin has been evaluated with this model based on the basin area level and the Yunnan Province level. The results showed that,the forestry production capacity was medium both at basin area level and province level. Further analysis of the Nanting river basin industrial structure showed that,the proportions of secondary industry and tertiary industry of Nanting river basin were small,so the industrial configuration will need to be regulated.
