A New Adaptive Multi-Source Image Fusion Algorithm and Simulation Research

In order to obtain image with better fusion results by multi-sensor,based on local direction contrast and wavelet transform,a new image fusion algorithm has been presented in this paper.The low and high frequency signals are obtained by local variance criteria and local image contrast adaptive algorithm respectively.Then conduct inverse wavelet transform for the image,the converted image has valid information of the source image.Experimental results show that,compared with the traditional and conventional image fusion algorithm,fused image obtained by the proposed algorithm,the peak value signal-to-noise ratio increased by 12.11% and 8%,root mean square error decreased by 69.65% and 69.65%,the correlation coefficient increased by 0.95% and 0.52%,the algorithm has a good image fusion.
