Simulation of 30.00R51 Radialtire's Stiffness Characteristics

The outline curve of the tire was digitized in its structural design UG model,and the layer elements were used to simulate the samdwich inside the tire,which bore multiplicate orthogonal anisotropic material characteristic. These methods could not only help to meet the analysis precision but also reduce the element numbers and improve the analysis efficiency greatly. Then the three-dimension non-linear finite element model of 30.00R51 Radialtire was set up based on above UG model,and the static contact of the tire and rigidity ground was simulated with gentle-rigidity contact elements. With that the distributions of different stresses in tire under the vertical load,side load and longitudinal load were analyzed,and simultaneity the radial rigidity,side rigidity and longitudinal rigidity were calculated. Finally the calculated results were compared with the experimental data and the result indicates that the model’ reliability is fairly good.
