HE Yun-feng;School of Philosophy and Public Administration,Henan University;
During the early periods of new China,Mao Zedong led the Communist Party of China and the government to carry out the large-scale social governance. As a politician with lofty ideals and ambitions,and a charismatically spiritual leader,Mao Zedong had a grand and lofty pursuit for social governance. Not only did he arrange the national economy and people's livelihood,and establish a stable social order,but also built a revolutionized new society and established the dominant position of revolutionary values in the whole society. In order to better carry out the social governance,Mao Zedong put forward the idea of "organizing"the people,and led the new political power gradually to establish a network of intertwined organizations,which greatly improved the degree of social integration and enhanced the country's social mobilization ability. Widely mobilizing mass participation is the basic method of Mao Zedong's social governance. All kinds of work have fully mobilized the masses to participate in,and they have made great achievements,resulting in tremendous momentum and remarkable results. Mao Zedong's social governance thought is of important references for social governance in the new era.
