Research on the Stability of Surrounding Rock Mass and Consolidating Structure of Tunnel Under Complex Geological Condition

Based on an under building highway tunnel project from Hunan to Chongqing,complex geological condition was encountered in portal area. According to monitoring information,a FEM program in DP consitutive model was used to analyze the mechanical status and stability of consolidating structure. A prevent measurement was proposed: the soil in tunnel portal area,under unsymmetrical pressure and shallow condition,was loose and cracked,so that it was paid attention to the influence of construction and ground water,and soil consolidation was also necessary at the right time.7figs.,1tab.,6refs.
