Determination of Samarium and Iron in SmF e Alloy by Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry

Samarium and iron in six kinds of 2∶17 Sm-Fe alloys were determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry(iCAP6300) and ICP-AES repeatedly. By choosing suitable working conditions and nitric acid solution as the medium solution for dissolving the sample, the deviation between the experimental results and the results of known sample content is negligible, and the recovery of standard addition is between 96%~101%, which meets the requirements of standard addition recovery of the instrument. Compared with the results of XRF method, the relative errors of the six alloys are all less than 1%, which can meet the requirements of scientific research. The method is simple, accurate, stable and reliable. It is proved that the method is suitable for the determination of samarium and iron in samarium ferroalloy.
