A Maneuvering Target Tracking Algorithm Based on Wavelet Transform

The wavelet transform(WT) is a powerful tool of denoising. It can decompose the mixed signals which consist of different frequencies in the different frequency band, and be effectively used in signal filtering. This paper studies an algorithm for maneuvering target tracking using multiresolutional analysis. The monoresolutional observation datas are decomposed with the use of a classical algorithm in WT, Mallat algorithm. The decomposing results are then used to update the states of the target. The algorithm is a semi real time filtering method, also optimal. Simulation results have shown its perfect filtering capability and economical computation.
