Auto-detection based on multiple range gates for pblse radar altimeter

According to the characteristic of pulse radar altimeter's return echo, a modified binary integation detection algorithm based on multiplerange gates is presended. Meanwhile,the mathematic model for this algorithm is introduced. Optimization design for integration threshold, weighting factor and false probability calculation is presented. Finally, comparisons for detection performance between this algorithm and conventional binary integration detection algorithm are also given by simulation.Results show that detection petween this algorthm and conventional binary integration detection algorthm are also given by simulation.Results show that detection performance, to some extent,has been improved.
