Resource and Environment Protected Exploitation Model for Ion-type Rare Earth Deposit in Southern of China

Ion-type rare earth deposit only found in southern of China is a kind of valuable resource of middle-heavy rare earths.Special attention has being paid on the issues of protective exploitation and the relating environmental impact.In this paper,we review the development of technologies on the protection of resource and environment during its exploitation process,and propose an environmental engineering model for realizing protected exploitation of resource and environment.The main connotation of this model is discussed thereby.The aim of this model is to provide support for regulating the exploitation methods of ion-type rare earth resource.
