Optimization analysis of CMFD's geometrical parameters for drilling hardened steel based on orthogonal design of experiments

According to the material performance of hard steel's high hardness,heavy intensity and low heat conductivity by using the orthogonal experiment method,the influence of three kinds geometrical parameters: top angle,chisel edge,relief angle on the drills life was discussed,and the test of significance and variance analysis for it were also analyzed,equation,furthermore the single-element tests were done.The results indicate that top angle is the decisive parameter to the drills life;with correlative analysis on the results from the test,the optimal set of geometrical parameter values was discovered.
