New Strategy of Slow-Start for TCP Congestion Control

This paper analyzes the current slow-start of TCP congestion control a nd its problem. A new variant slow-start scheme is presented which approaches t he slow-start threshold more gradually. NS simulation results show that this ne w slow-start scheme can significantly reduce both packet losses and traffic burs tiness.
