Perioperative nursing in geriatric patients with arterial occlusion of lower limbs

Objective:The aim of the present study was to explore the nursing measures during the perioperation in geriatric patients with arterial occlussion of lower limbs.Methods:25 geriatric patients with arterial occlussion of lower limbs were operated with autovessel bypass,artificial vessel bypass or aortic sac dilatation with or without bracket insertion. The nuring measures were peformed during the perioperation,including preoperative psychological guidance,postoperative nursing care of affected limbs,treatment and nursing of underlying diseases.Results:Lower limb ischemia improved obviously in 13 patients,relieved in nine patients,and only three patients showed no efficacy in this study. Total effective rate was 88%.Conclusion:Besides operation,it is necessary for geriatric patients with arterial occlussion of lower limbs to perform effective and proper nursing measures.
