Objective To observe the effect of intravenous sodium bicarbonate and intratympanic dexamethasone perfusion needle in treating sudden deafness. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data of 112 patients with sudden deafness. All patients were given sodium bicarbonate intravenous injection needle 60 mL,once daily for three days, meanwhile the dilated blood vessels for improving microcirculation and neurotrophic substance were given to 48 cases as the control group, and the other 64 patients as observation group were added with intratympanic-injection dexamethasone on the basis of the former treatment, and the round window infiltrated in medicine for 40 minutes, once every other day for four days then the hearing was reviewed after a course of treatment. Results In control group,22 cases in 44 patients was effective with the total effective rate of 45.8%;in observation group,50 cases in 64 patients was effective with the effective rate of 78.1%.The difference between the two groups had statistical significance(P0.05).Conclusion On the basis of intravenous injection of sodium bicarbonate and dilated vascular nerve nutrition treatment,it has significant clinical effect of intratympanic-injection dexamethasone through roundel to treat sudden deafness.
