Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of real time gray-scale contrast-enhancement ultrasonography(CE-US) in evaluat ing the perfusion and contrast enhancement patterns of focal hepatic lesions. Methods: 36 patiensts with unconfirmed focal hepatic lesions were enrol led in the study, Analysis were performed on the futures of CE-US in those cas es . The comparisons with conventional color Doppler US and dynamic CT were made. Results:There were different enhancem ent patterns in different lesions; Compar ed with CDFI, the blood flow detecting rates were distinguished improved after enhancement both in benign and malignant lesions.CE-US was superior to convent io nal US and dynamic CT in detecting more minute (d≤1.0cm)lesions. Conclusion:C E-US is useful for differentiation between liver benign and malignant lesions. The blood detecting rate is distinctly improved after enhancement.
