Effect of clinical nursing pathway on health knowledge and blood glucose control of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus

Objective To investigate the effect of clinical nursing pathway( CPN) on the health knowledge and blood glucose control of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus( GDM). Methods A total of 150 GDM pregnant women were randomly divided into two groups,with 75 cases in each group. The control group used conventional nursing,and the observation group used CPN to carry out nursing work. Health knowledge score,and blood glucose control,pregnancy outcomes and breastfeeding of two groups were compared. Results The health knowledge scores in GDM basic knowledge,diet,exercise,medication knowledge in the observation group were significantly higher than that in the control group( P 0. 05). The fasting blood glucose,postprandial 2 h blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin in the observation group were lower than that in the control group,the length of hospital stay and hospitalization expenses were less than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion Clinical nursing pathway can improve the health knowledge level and blood glucose control of GDM pregnant women,and shorten the length of hospital stay.
