Effect of ganoderma polysacchrides on PKC activity in murine peritoneal macrophages

AIM To investigate the effect of Ganoderma polysacchride(GLB 7) on PKC activity in murine peritoneal macrophages METHODS A new ionpair reversedphase high liquid chromatography method was used to determinate the activity of protein kinase C in cellsRESULTS GLB 7 (40 mg·L -1 )induced activation,translocation of PKC, and GLB 7 antagonized the inhibition effect to PKC of staurosporine(10 μmol·L -1 ) in murine peritoneal macrophages The peak time was 30 minutes,the activity of PKC came back the basic level at 2 hours CONCLUSION The immunopoteniating effect of Ganderma polysacchride may be associated with its activation of PKC in murine peritoneal macrophages
