Research and Simulation on Capacitive Target Flow-meter

Operating principle of capacitive target flow-meter was elaborated.Control diagram and software flow chart of capacitive target flow-meter based on MSP430F149 single chip were designed.IAPWS-IF97 steam formula was used for density compensation.The disadvantage that traditional steam density compensation method cannot both fit the wide range of changes in industrial conditions and satisfy the precision demand is overcome.The measurement precision was raised.The relationship among the force,the pressure loss of fluid flowing through the target and the mass flow rates of the tested fluid under disc-shaped,conical and spherical targets,was simulated by using FLUENT numerical simulation software.The results provide theory basis for the choice of target shape in engineering application.
