Time-frequency Analysis of Two-phase Flow Signal Based on Generalized S-transform with Variable Factor

The analysis result of the non-stationary gas-liquid two-phase flow signal is not ideal by using the conventional signal processing method. In order to gain better study on its dynamic characteristics,differential pressure signal generated by V-cone flow meter was collected from horizontal pipe,generalized S transform with variable factor was used to analyze the two phase flow signal. Comparing the signal spectrogram indicated the energy of bubble flow mainly distributed in high-frequency band 20 ~ 30 Hz,slug flow mainly distributed in high-frequency band 20 ~ 30 Hz and low- frequency band 0 ~ 10 Hz,and plug flow mainly distributed in low-frequency 0 ~ 10 Hz. Studies show that generalized S transform with variable factor can describe the signal energy variation over time well,and lay a foundation for the further study of the dynamic characteristics.
