Analysis of Diagnosis and Treatment of 68 Cases of Severe Multiple Trauma

Objective To summarize the experience of diagnosis and treatment of severe multiple injuries.Methods 68 patients severe multiple injuries from May 2006 to May 2008 were analyzed retrospectively.Results 54 cases (82.3%) were cured, 2 cases were auto- matic discharge and 8 cases (11.7%) died.3 cases died of severe brain injury, 2cases died of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), 2 cases died of sepsis and one case died of shock. Conclusion The key to improve the success rate of treatment is to diagnose early, treat as quickly as possible and prevent complications.
