Simultaneous Determination of Cr,Ni,As,Se,Cd,Hg and Pb in Tobacco with ICP-MS

The Cr,Ni,As,Se,Cd,Hg and Pb in 85 tobacco samples from five major production areas of China were simultaneously determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) with microwave digestion.The results showed that: 1) the recoveries of these heavy elements were in the range of 96.34% to 106.7% with the RSD of 1.41%-9.78% and the limits of detection were from 7.974-147.8ng/L;2) the contents of these elements between different cultivars and production areas differed significantly,while those between different stalk positions did not for the same cultivar.
