Study of a New Type Scintillation Crystal PbWO_4

In this paper the growth of PbWO_4 crystal was reported. The influences of the purity of raw materials and the crystal growth process on crystal quality were studied. A PbWO_4 crystal with good quality has been grown. Its optical characteristics and scintillation characteristics were measured.
