Study of Biological Characteristics of Mitochondrical Membrane during Exercise-induced Fatigue.Part II: Effect of Inner Mitochondrial Membrane Fluidity on ATPase Activity of Heart and Skeletal Muscle in Rats

The inner mitochondrial membrane(IMM)fluidity and ATPase activity of the heart and skeletal muscle after exhaustive exercise in rats were invcstigated. The results showed that the fluorescence polarization and microviscosity values of IMM in rat heart and skeletal muscle were higher than the resting values (p0.01), which meant the IMM fluidity decreased obviously.The ATPase activity of the IMM in rat heart and skeletal muscle decreased by 74.3% and 45.7%respectively(p0.01),p0.05),compared with the resting state, It suggested that the changes of IMM respiratory chain molecular dynamics influenced the phosphorylation of the inner membrane directly after the exhaustive exercise and it might tw one of the mitoch ondrial membrane molecular characteristics in exercise-induced fatigue.
