Topology optimization and sensitivity analysis of satellite structure

With the development of satellite structure,more and more design parameters will affect its structural performances.In order to take all design parameters into account and design the most reasonable satellite structure,we need to optimize the structure in many aspects.This paper first applied topology optimization to a spatial truss in a satellite and obtained its optimum structural form through a continuum under the given constraints and load conditions.Then applied sensitivity analysis and sizing optimization to 15 structural parameters of the satellite and gained the optimum sizes.The calculation result proves that it is feasible to get the optimum structural form through a continuum's topology optimization.With the help of sensitivity analysis and sizing optimization,the satellite's weight can be reduced obviously and its dynamic performance can be improved.
