Topology Optimization of the Damping Structure with Optimal Criteria

Topology optimization of the damping structure was studied for the maximized modal loss factors in this paper.Based on pseudo-density method and rational approximation of material properties (RAMP),the mathematical model was constructed for the maximized modal loss factors subjected to the damping material volume constraint.Reasonable topology configuration was obtained for the damping structure with optimality criteria.The optimization method or procedure in this paper can be applied to optimization or lightweight design of the damping structure with the damping material volume constraint.
