Objective To evaluate the relationship between immune state in ovarian cancer and transcription factors. Methods The gene expression of Th1/Th2 type cytokines and transcription factors T-bet and GATA3 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) were detected by RT-PCR. Results There were predominant expression of Th2 type cytokines IL-4, IL-10 and transcription factor GATA3 in patients with ovarian cancer; on the contrary ,the expression of Th1 type cytokines INF-γ and IL-2 and transcription factor T-bet was low. Conclusion Immune imbalance occures in patients with ovarian cancer, and it may be related to lower expression of T-bet and higher expression of GATA3.
