The Asymetric Reduction of Acetophenone With Polymer-supported Borohydride Reducing Systems

Reaction of ion exchange resin D 151(P)-COOH made in China with sodium boro-hydride in glyme at 65℃ gives polymer-supported reagent Na~+[P-COO(BH_3)]~-. The poly-mer-supported reagent reacts with chiral acids or alcohols to provide the polymer-supportedreductants. Then acetophenone was reduced by the reductants in rather low enantioselectivity(less than 30.1% of optical yield.)
