CT,Routine MRI and DWI Diagnosis of Acute Ischemic Stroke

Purpose:To study the characteristics of MRI and CT images in the acute ischemic stroke in different stages and evaluate their value in the diagnosis of hyperacute and acute cerebral infarction.Materials and Methods:64 patients underwent CT,conventional MRI,diffusion weighted imaging(DWI).The average ADC and relative ADC(rADC) of the lesions were calculated.One-way ANOVA was used to analyzed the patients' data.Results:No apparent difference was detected from 1 day to 7 day after the onset of the acute ischemic stroke in CT,the routine MRI and DWI imaging.Both of the average ADC and rADC of hyperacute and acute infarction lesion were decreased.The average rADC of the lesion got a rising tendency along with the time and there is significant difference between 7 days and 1,2,3,4 days after the onset of stroke respectively,while there is no statistical significance between 7 days and 5,6 days.Conclusion:CT,conventional MRI,DWI combined with the rADC of infarction lesions,can display the evolution rules with time corresponding to the pathophysiological foundation,and will provide the evidence in identifying the different stages and guiding treatment in infarction.
