A progress review on the Shi-ya Tea

In the present review, we summarized the research progress on Shi-ya tea by literatures collection and analysis.Shi-ya tea, originated from the dry leave of Adinandra nitida Merr.ex H.L.Li, has been used in China for a long history.Modern phytochemical research showed that the main constituents of Shi-ya Tea are flavonoids, polyphenols, amino acids, alkaloids and so on.Moreover, pharmacological research showed that Shi-ya Tea has a number of activities, such as antimicrobial, antitumor, antioxidant, which suggested that it is a promising tea drink to prevent chronic disease.Therefore, in-depth study on Shi-ya tea is necessary, this will promote diversity in tea research domestically and provide a clue for the RD of the chronic metabolic disease as well.
