Metallic Accumulation and Distribution in Maize Plant

The contents of heavy metals(Cu,Pb,Cr,Ni and Zn) in maize(Zea mays L.) plant and soil collected from Wenzhang village in Zhanjiang were measured using atomic absorption spectrometry.The results showed that the soil was contaminated by Cr in middle-grade,the accumulative coefficient order was NiPbZnCrCu,and accumulative coefficient to Ni,Pb and Zn was 2.411,1.892 and 1.139,respectively.Furthermore,the content of heavy metal in shoot was larger than that in root system but change with different heavy metal.The result also showed that maize plant was tolerated to Cr.
