The clinical analysis of endovascular treatment on 48 patients with lower limb arteriosclerosis obliterans

Objective To study the clinical effects of endovascular treatment in patients with lower limb arteriosclerosis obliterans(ASO).Methods Endovascular treatment was performed in total 60 limbs of 48 patients with ASO.The vascular recanalization and symptoms change before and after treatment were observed.Results In the total 60 limbs of 48 patients, 52 limbs of 46 patients were successfully treated with endovascular treatment and 2 patients were died,the success rate was 86.7%.The 46 patients were followed up 3~24 months after procedure,and 25 cases(54.3%)had significantly improvement, 15 cases(32.6%)maintained stable and 6 cases(13.1%)suffered progressions.The ankle-brachial index (ABI)significandy increased from 0.11~0.98(0.37±0.19)before the procedure to 0.68~1.22(0.37±0.17)after the procedure(P0.01).Conclusion Endovascular therapy is an effective procedure for the treatment of lower limb arteriosclerosis obliterans.
