Survey on Precautions of Differential Protection Mal-operation Caused by Sympathetic Inrush

Aim at researching on transformer protection mal- operation caused by sympathetic inrush,counter precautions proposed by literatures can be classified in five categories: magnetizing inrush suppression,countermeasures against CT saturation,improvements to the differential protection,operation and wiring optimization,and seeking new ways to protect the transformer. The advantages and disadvantages of these precautions are analyzed. Finally,future relevant research issues were proposed.
