CULTIVATED LAND CHANGE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN URBANIZATION REGION-A CASE STUDY OF JIULONGPO DISTRICT IN CHONGQING CITY

The change of cultivated land and economic growth were analyzed in this paper,the decoupling theory was used for conforming the relation between cultivated land and economic development deeply.The results indicated that:(1)With the decrease of the cultivated land continuously,the per capital GDP increased sharply and quickly in Jiulongpo District.(2)There were the same paces between the decrease rate of cultivated land and increase rate of Investment in Fixed Assets.While,the increase rate of GDP lagged behind the decrease rate of cultivated land.(3)There was a characteristic of kuznets Curve,even though the curve was not very typical and distorted by natural conditions and other factors.(4)The decoupling researches showed that the absolute decoupling dominated the priority in Jiulongpo District;Meanwhile,the decoupling index fluctuated and changed during 1997-2005,the protection situation of cultivated land was still seriously.
