Advances in plasmids resistant to antibiotics

Due to multiple resistance of bacteria resulted from plasmids of antibiotic resistance,a great challenge emerge in modern medical treatment.The current advances in plasmids resistant to antibiotics were reviewed in this paper, and several aspects were pointed out:①resistance mechanisms have been further recognized;②the genetic background and characteristics of genes relevant to resistance of antibiotics have been well understood;③bacteria plasmids that are pathogenic to other animals besides human beings are entering investigator's scopes.Authors stress that there are no ends and winners in the fight between human making new antibiotics and bacterial resistant to antibiotics,so modern medical science has to change its way to treat pathogenic bacteria,and the idea of coevolution and rational coexisistance introduced from evolutionary pollution ecology could be a pathway to break the dilemma.
